You’ve got to get them started, so that they can “duplicate” you and start building the business…

This is where the wheels fall off for so many network marketers…

Why do prospects get hope back in their lives when they talk to you about your network marketing opportunity?

What do you offer that is the “Big Hook” or “Big Promise” in your presentation?

Maybe you’ll relate to this, because the main thing I’ve always focused on when talking to prospects was the ability for them to get their freedom (whatever that means to them)…

More time…more money…more options…

Sounds awesome right?

It is…but here is the problem…

The way old school network marketing systems are taught, the prospect immediately gets overwhelmed with all of the things they need to do to “launch” their business…

Things like:

  1. Make a huge list of friends and family.
  2. Make tons of phone calls one by one, using a script they’re uncomfortable with.
  3. Show the plan in the evenings and weekends and going to events in order to “duplicate what the leaders do”.
  4. Try to figure out how to follow up with people who are trying to avoid them in some instances.
  5. Learn the skill sets of “rotating the pattern” and working through new teammates’ warm market prospects…

That sure doesn’t seem like more freedom to me…

It got old for me too…

The stark reality is that old school traditional network marketing is tearing families apart…

Whoa, you may think that’s a bold claim, but let’s think about it for a minute…

Families are spending less and less time together, and when they are together, they don’t interact well because everyone is so stressed out from their day…

To add to the stress of a regular work day, families are spending less time together because the main business builder in the house is always gone at various home meeting, hotel meetings and conventions…

Sound familiar?

If there isn’t quality time spent, and if communication dwindles, the relationship is strained, and it’s only a matter of time until the family unit starts to break down…and that can spell the beginning of the end…

Now I don’t want to focus on problems, but I wanted to explore them and bring them to light so I can offer you a solution…

See, today the majority of prospecting and recruiting can, and should be done from the palm of your hand using your smart phone…

We’ve got little computers in our pockets that have enough power to do global business…

So why are we complicating things?

Here are 3 simple ways you can leverage online strategies, including social media, to build your network marketing business…

TIP #1: Leverage a company video to show your business plan, and send the link to your prospects using email, social media, or text.

Who uses the phone to talk anymore anyways?

I swear, every time I pick up the phone to call someone, it goes to voice mail, and then I get a text later…

Especially with the millennials and younger…

These folks seem to rather text people across the dinner table than converse with them in person 🙂 …

Send a messenger message; maybe text, or even better, use the voice recorder within the messenger app and ask if they’re open to looking at something you’re excited about…

And make sure you give them an out, in order to qualify them. You may want to say something like this:

“Hey, John, something has come across my desk that I think you’ll be interested in. Are you open to taking a look? It may or may not be for you, and if not, no big deal.”

When they respond yes, set a follow up time within 15-30 mins of watching the video and follow up.

Follow up could be a call, or preferably a video chat…

If your prospect gets to this point, they’re all but in…you just have to answer some questions…

Find out what they want, such as being a customer of the product, or a business builder, and get them started…

So be by a computer for crying out loud, and be prepared to put them in!

Using a company video is super duplicatable, because if you use it, your prospect will notice what you did to expose the business to them, and they are more likely to think “I can do what they did.”

If your process is too confusing or complicated, you’re dead in the water…

Tip# 2: Leverage Facebook Groups

Facebook is where all the eye balls are at. They have more viewers then all the other social media platforms combined. Using a Facebook group is a good idea for several reasons…

  • You can group people together with specific interests, ie: people who are more interested in being a customer, vs someone who is more interested in earning an income as a business builder.
  • You can upload training videos into these groups that can train, educate, and motivate the business builders, or provide testimonials and product info for your customers…while you are spending time with your family.
  • Everyone is ALREADY THERE…all you need to do is add them to the group (after you have their permission) and tag them in whatever threads you feel are the next most important things for them to learn.
  • It’s EASY and UNCOMPLICATED. Again, complexity kills conversion. What that means is that if your new customer or business partner gets confused, or thinks building the business is hard, they’re way more likely to quit. Remember the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Silly:)

Tip # 3 Teach your team the basics of building a personal brand

At the end of the day, I always say “People move products and services, products and services don’t move people.”

Let me ask you a question…

When you got started in your opportunity, why did you get started?

Was it the awesome products, or the compensation plan, or something else…

Or was it because you thought the person showing you the opportunity could help you get your desired result?

Although there certainly is great value in a great product that works, as well as a lucrative compensation plan, most people are going to follow those who they feel will HELP THEM SUCCEED.

Because everyone is tuned in to WIIFM (What’s In It For Me)…

Which means at the end of the day, they want to get from point A to point B, and if they join YOU, they most likely feel you’re capable of leading them there…

So learning how to develop your personal brand, standing out from the sea of other network marketers, and leaning how to build an audience (network) online is a super valuable skill set to learn…
